The Novalung Vision Alpha High Frequency Oscillator was launched earlier in 2007. Manuafctured in Japan, with German suppport, Inspiration Healthcare are pleased to be able to add this novel product to our portfolio.

With the OSCAR (the High Frequency Oscillator in ARDS patients) study starting in November, it is extremely exciting for Inspiration to be supplying the 10 study sites with these extremely advanced Ventilators.

The Vision Alpha not only has powerful High Frequency Oscillation, but also includes a fully functioning conventional ventilator that allows simple and easy weaning without the need to switch machines.  Other features are its quiet operation, built in graphics, lung recruitment with both pressure and volume, patient range from 2kg upwards and better humification.

The OSCAR Study is recruiting 968 patients in 10 centres throughout the UK, funded by the HTA and lead by Dr Duncan Young.  Inspiration will support the study with our 24/7 telephone service, after sales maintenance programme and will aid in the teaching of nursing staff.
